Interpersonal Performance Problems

Common Situations Experienced

The tactics needed to develop a successful intervention strategy when responding to an interpersonal employee personnel problem are similar to those used when responding to a larger organizational problem.  For example, the tactic of "chunking" or breaking down the multifaceted, multilayered problem into small definable pieces.  With Technical Performance problems we are generally more successful, but with Interpersonal Performance problems we tend to either have ineffective conversations, refer the employee, discharge the employee, or give up and avoid.  This list represents just a few of the many Interpersonal Performance Problems leaders experience.
