Participant Evaluation Summary

1998 Seminar Results

Comments from Participants:

1. How satisfied are you that the information provided in this seminar is relevant to the performance of your work or your organization?
The methods presented for using feedback are very relevant and valuable.
Most relevant to dealing with my group which is very diverse.
Role playing and examples very helpful.  Focus on these two issues most critical.
I will be able to apply this information immediately.
How to approach a possible problem employee was very good.
Most relevant of several courses I've taken.
Great tools to take back to our offices.
Very!
I can see a different approach I can take toward fellow shop members.
Lots of useful information.
I'm not currently a manager, so I was thinking about how to use it with peers.
Good info -- gave me some good ideas.
Practical, real applications to real issues.
Real situation -- real applications.
I found the examples you used to be quite familiar in many cases.

2. How satisfied are you that the information provided in this seminar is sensitive to and positively responds to the differences between people?
Sensitivity to differences is emphasized throughout the seminar.
I expect to begin using this and will see if it works with my two most problematic staff.
Too many differences to completely cover in one seminar.
Well thought out information.
Brought up several times.
Adaptability is an issue in being effective.
It was definitely built towards recognizing and responding to differences.
It was obvious that there was an awareness of inclusion.
Really good info and will be used.
Very well.

3. How satisfied are you with your ability at this time to apply the information covered in this seminar to your work or organization?
The seminar materials and presentation gave practical guidance to develop the skills needed to apply the information.
Will need practice, practice, practice.
I was thinking of specific issues that I can apply (or should have applied) these skills.
This is needed NOW at our office.
This information needs constant work and refreshing.
My immediate intention is to apply it to my situation.
The practice sessions and demonstrations helped.
Could be longer.
Very useful, for organizations and a whole and working on teams.
Finding the time to fully engage in all situations will be a challenge.
I'll be better able to judge after I've acted on suggestions/recommendations I learned about.
Probably to some degree but need practice.
I would like more time to learn the information.
The situational discussions and demonstrations were very helpful.

4. How satisfied are you that you had sufficient opportunities to participate?
Mr. Baron was very good about asking for and recognizing participation.
Everyone was given ample time to join in and participate.
I prefer to watch the role play you did with individuals in the group.
I enjoyed the participation aspect.
Practice/Participation makes better!
I felt welcome to participate in discussion and felt that participatory demos were pointed.
Small group size was great.  I enjoyed the mixing up and getting to work with people who work in fields different than mine.
A little tight -- but it worked.
Enough time to participate in the training.

5. How satisfied are you that your questions were answered adequately?
Very satisfied.
We went through each section until everyone was heard from.
Very directive, to the point.
Very good.
Covered material well.
Dick directed answers to me and made my questions seem welcomed and pertinent.
Responses were very appropriate, however, some questions were deferred and not responded to due to time constraints.
I noticed that everyone's questions were answered.
Very -- took many examples and expanded them.
Only asked a couple with one follow-up.
I didn't have specific questions.
All questions answered.
You answered them very well.

6. How satisfied are you that this was a good use of your time?
This is very valuable to me.  I have access to methods of communication now, that I did not have.
I enjoyed it very much.
Excellent.  Basics and consistency.  Am looking forward to when I can do these and see shifts between feedback and negative performances more smoothly.
Closer to home would be nice.
Learning and training is always valuable.
Better than most.
Bottle it and sell it!  Great presentation.
Very good use of time.
Useful information and demonstrations, handouts.
There were personal skills that I can work on to improve my performance in many projects I'm involved in.
Excellent use of time.
If I can find time it will help.
Very informative seminar!
Will help in my daily working environment with others.

Other -- What other training topics would you like to have presented?
Team development and management.
I'm open to anything with growth and development.
The other twelve hours!
Team building.
The whole 18-hour seminar!
Thank you very much!
Team building with "Line Staff."
I'll give this some thought and be in touch.
I would be interested in more on providing both positive and negative feedback.   Perhaps the 18-hour course.
